SNMP Training
Course Description
This training explains SNMP and its relation to other management
standards.
Motivations for using and not using SNMP are given. The objectives
of this course are to:
- Explain the function of a network management protocol and describe the different approaches available.
- Examine the history and development of SNMP, including the three SNMP versions
- Explain the concepts of a Management Information Base (MIB)
- Explain how the SNMP protocol works.
- Explain the Structure of Management Information and how to read definitions.

- Are you already a SNMP guru? Try the quiz. Or do you want to pass the Ductus qualification after the training. You may get a t-shirt ;)
- Check the labs.
Parts of the course are illustrated by demonstrations.
All parts of the course contains student labs.
We use tools from HP, MG-SOFT and SimpleSoft to perform labs and demonstrations.

The SNMP course is targeted at those who want an overview of features and architecture of SNMP.
- System Developers and testers, both management systems and managed systems
